The dictionary, which took four years to complete, covers a wide range of legal terminology in English and Amharic. It includes definitions, explanations, and references to legal concepts, principles, and practices. A team of experts in law and linguistics undertook the project, working diligently to ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the content.

On October 8, 2024, the Amharic-English Encyclopedic Law Dictionary was officially presented to the public in a special launch event by President of the Federal Supreme Court H.E. Ato Tewodros Meheret, Minister of the Ministry of Justice H.E. Dr. Gedion Timothewos, the Federal Justice & Law Institute Director Ambassador Degefe Bula, Ambassador of the Austrian Embassy to Ethiopia H.E. Dr. Simone Knapp representing the Donors Consortium, Addis Ababa University President Dr. Samuael Kifile, and President of Justice for All-PF Ethiopia Pastor Daniel G/Selassie. The event was attended by prominent legal scholars, government officials, and members of the academic and legal communities. The participants praised the efforts of the team involved in creating the dictionary and emphasized the importance of such a resource in promoting legal literacy and understanding in Ethiopia.
