Our Programs

JFA-PFE envisions a prosperous, peaceful and democratic Ethiopia where efficient, quality, effective, fair and accessible Justice System prevails that meets the aspirations of FDRE Constitution and international human rights standards realized. Based on this vision, the organization has been making various program interventions since its inception two decades ago. Its program is sought to contribute to the realization of quality justice as basics for the protection of human rights and practice of good governance that upholds rule of law in consistent with international human rights norms and standards. Generally, the program is categorized under six pillars /thematic areas namely:


JFA-PFE’s advocacy interventions focuses on restoring systemic issues including legal, policy and institutional limitations.

Empowering of Women and Children

Violence against women is a worldwide phenomenon with its long-term devastating effects on women’s physical and mental health

Holistic Support

JFA-PFE’s service delivery mainly focuses on improving access to services and resources for the full-fledged fulfilment of human rights by providing basic needs like clothing, hygiene supplies, books, laboratory tools and sport materials for prisoners.

Capacity Development

JFA-PFE aims to increase the conceptual and practical capacity of top justice sectors and other executive and judiciary officials through trainings and workshops

Peace Building and Conflict Management

Conflict Management and Peace Building is another pillar of JFA-PFE’s program with an objective to enhance conflict Management and peace building practice through the creation of public communication and participation platforms.

Child Sponsorship

Children whose bread-winning parents are imprisoned are the most vulnerable, and in great challenge to access school, health, nutrition and their other basic needs which they require to grow and lead a decent life
